Dive into Summer Fun with Bertie County 4-H Summer Camps!

Get ready for an exciting summer of learning and adventure with Bertie County 4-H! We’ve got a fantastic lineup of camps designed to spark curiosity, build skills, and create lasting memories for youth of all ages. Check out our schedule below and register your child for a summer they won’t forget!

Our Summer Camp Schedule:

  • Aquarium Adventure at Jennette’s Pier (May 27, 2025):

    • Description: Explore the wonders of the NC Aquarium at Jennette’s Pier! Participants will delve into the fascinating marine world and even participate in a squid dissection led by a marine biologist.
    • Age Group: Children aged 13 – 18.

  • Teen Swim Camp (June 2 – 6):

    • Description: Learn essential lifesaving skills! Youths will participate in a week-long swimming and water safety course at the local YMCA with certified swim instructors.
    • Age Group: Children aged 13 – 18.

  • Cloverbud Cooking Camp (June 10 – 13):

    • Description: Budding chefs, get ready to learn valuable life skills in the kitchen! Participants will learn basic cooking techniques, prepare healthy meals, understand food safety, and practice hygienic strategies.
    • Age Group: Children aged 5 – 8.

  • Swim Camp (June 23 – 27):

    • Description: Make a splash and learn vital water safety skills! Youths will take a week-long swimming and water safety course at the local YMCA with qualified swim instructors.
    • Age Group: Children aged 9 – 12.

  • Howling Cow Farm Tour (July 1):

    • Description: Delve into the world of a working dairy farm! This walking tour will give participants an up-close view of NC State’s milking facilities. As a special treat, the tour includes a pair of disposable shoe covers and a delicious 4 oz cup of Howling Cow ice cream!
    • Age Group: Children aged 5 – 18.

  • Cloverbud Swim Camp (July 7 – 11):

    • Description: Introduce your little ones to the water safely! Youths will learn basic water safety skills and begin their swimming journey in a week-long course at the local YMCA with experienced swim instructors.
    • Age Group: Children aged 5 – 8.

  • Cooking Camp (July 15 – 18):

    • Description: Expand your culinary skills! Participants will learn essential cooking techniques, prepare healthy and tasty meals, and understand the importance of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
    • Age Group: Children aged 9 – 12.

  • NC Museum of Natural Science Adventure (July 29):

    • Description: Embark on a journey of discovery at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences in central Raleigh! Children will visit the state’s premier museum dedicated to science and nature, the largest institution of its kind in the Southeastern United States.
    • Age Group: Children aged 9 – 12.
