Join us for a home food preservation class that will include learning to can sweet spreads. Canning is an art and a fun skill to learn. The class will be held at the Bertie County Center, 104 Lancaster Ave, Windsor, NC. Participants will pick the sessions they want to attend and register for each session separately. This class is designed for anyone interested in learning more about safely making jams, jellies, and other sweet spreads at home. This hands-on class will cover types of sweet spreads, how to prepare sweet spreads safely, and troubleshooting.

This hands-on class will cover foods appropriate for water bath canning, equipment needs, and safe tested recipes.
