The N.C. Cooperative Extension in Bertie County would like to introduce our new Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) Educator, Claire Haislop!

Claire's mission is to educate and encourage students in the Bertie County school system to adopt healthy behaviors related to nutrition, physical activity, and life skills. As an EFNEP educator, Claire will teach interactive and hands-on lessons that include food safety, cooking, and physical activity. Her goal is to give the students a positive outlook on balancing meals and physical activity and help them develop a healthy lifestyle.

Claire is currently studying at North Carolina State University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science. During her free time, she enjoys showing horses and participating in barrel racing. Additionally, she has a passion for fishing, and whenever she finds some spare time, she loves to bake.
