New Digital Skills Educator

Rebecca Jinnette, Digital Skills Educator

We are pleased to announce that Rebecca Jinnette has joined the N.C. Cooperative Extension Family.  She will be filling the position that Valencia White recently vacated. Rebecca holds a BS degree in Applied Communication from Appalachian State University and has expertise in various areas such as Microsoft Office, eCommerce platforms, Apache Open Office Suites, Canva, Squarespace, and MAC OS.

Rebecca is an active member of the Bertie County community and has served as the Board Secretary for the Bertie Arts Council. She has also been a part of the Arts Council's grants committee, featured artist committee, and served as their Marketing Director from 2017-2023. Rebecca has delivered Arts Education to Bertie Schools, YMCA, Camp Happy, and Solid Foundation.

In her free time, Rebecca runs her own business, Inner Banks Vintage, which is an online business specializing in vintage goods, and TMI Glassworks, her glass-blowing business. She studied Spanish, Russian, and Japanese at Appalachian State University and is currently independently studying Mandarin Chinese.

Rebecca is looking forward to venturing out into the community to teach her classes. She will be teaching a variety of classes, including computer basics, email setup, internet navigation, social media, and smartphone fundamentals. In addition, she has contacted various local organizations to collaborate with them in hosting these classes. Stay tuned to the website for news about upcoming classes!
