FIT testing will be conducted on March 18, 2026, from 9 AM to 1 PM in the community room at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Bertie County, located at 104 Lancaster Avenue, Windsor, NC 27983.

To schedule your appointment, please Register Online for the Fit Testing. Be sure to bring your completed Fillable Medical Clearance form and the respirator you intend to use. The fit test will only certify you to wear the specific model and size of the respirator tested. Cartridges are not necessary for 3M and North respirators during the fit testing. Please ensure that the respirator you plan to use is clean.

The cost for the fit test is $30. If you require both the medical clearance and fit test, the total cost will be $55. Only credit cards and checks are accepted as payment.

As a reminder, per federal guidelines, fit tests cannot be administered if facial hair extends under the respirator seal or interferes with the device's valve function. Short mustaches, sideburns, and small goatees that are neatly trimmed and do not compromise the respirator's seal may be permitted for fit testing.
