The scent of baked cupcakes, frosting, and popcorn filled the teaching kitchen on July 10th.  The kitchen housed 20 fourth graders from Windsor Elementary for their Camp Cupcake event. The aroma was so appetizing that Dr. Otis Smallwood, Bertie County Superintendent, and County Commissioner Mr. Michael White paid a visit after their meeting.

Each student was given two tie-dyed cupcakes to decorate according to their liking. They had access to a variety of decorating tips and a wide range of colored frosting to choose from. The children were assisted in their cupcake decorating by Ms. Cheatham, Ms. Mizzelle, and Ms. Powell. Ms. Cheatham even tried her hand at decorating as well!  The students all noted that it was much more difficult to decorate a cupcake than it looked in the Youtube video they watch!
