Don Davis Recognizes 4-H Agent Toniqua Young

"Toniqua Young, a Windsor resident, serves as a 4-H Agent with the Bertie County Cooperative Extension, where she leads youth development programs that empower young people across the county. By creating meaningful opportunities in STEM, leadership development, civic engagement, public speaking, and hands-on experiential learning, she ensures that local youth are equipped with the tools and confidence to invest in themselves and their futures.

Driven by a deep commitment to expanding horizons for the next generation, Toniqua works to expose students to opportunities beyond their immediate surroundings while championing access to high-quality education. Under her leadership, youth participate in drone and cooking competitions and state-level presentation events. She also intentionally connects high school students with career pathways aligned with their interests, helping them make informed and purposeful decisions about what comes next.
