Summer Camps Are Moo-ving Along! 🐄🍦☀️
Howling Cow Summer Day Camp!
Our summer camps are still going strong, filled with high energy, hands-on learning, and tons of fun! This year, we added a little livestock to the mix—and it was a hit!
We took our 5–18-year-olds on a field trip to NC State’s 329-acre dairy farm, home to all seven major breeds of dairy cows. With around 300 cows on-site and a creamery that produces 1,000 gallons of ice cream each week, it was the perfect blend of education and excitement.
Our youth got a behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations—from the milking process and cow nutrition, to the care of the animals. One of the highlights? Meeting some adorable baby calves! We also toured the museum to uncover some fun and surprising dairy facts that most people don’t think about.
We wrapped up our dairy adventure with a relaxing lunch at the scenic Yates Mill County Park, a perfect spot to reflect and recharge after a day full of discovery.
