On Sunday, April 28th, we attended a community outreach event at Indian Woods Missionary Baptist Church. Our team included Rebecca Jinnette, the new Digital Skills Educator, Toniqua Young, 4-H Agent, and Cindy Davis, Admin Assistant. During the event, we informed the participants about the various programs offered by N.C. Cooperative Extension. We opened up a dialogue between the agents and the county residents to understand what programming they would like to participate in. We were happy to hear that many residents were excited to learn that Rebecca will be providing free basic computer and smartphone lessons in the future.

Toniqua was excited to share about the upcoming summer day camps which will begin in June. She was also encouraging people to volunteer for these camps. During her conversations, Toniqua expressed her goal of starting a coding program in the Fall.

We would like to thank the Indian Woods Missionary Baptist Church for inviting us to participate in this event.
