District Activity Day Workshop!

District Activity Day is a a public speaking competition that allows youth ages 5 to 18 years old to present information by demonstration or illustrated talk. The time limit is usually between 5 and 12 minutes, with specific time regulations for specific categories. The Gold/Silver winners in each category can compete at the state level contest in Raleigh. State winners in sponsored categories receive cash awards ,and award winning seniors may compete nationally.

Participation in this event  can help youth to prepare for school projects, job interviews, resumes, and senior project presentations.

A workshop for District Activity Day will be held on March 24th, 3:30 p.m. at the Bertie County Extension Office. Please bring your laptops or Chrome books so that you can start your research and presentation preparation right away. Transportation will be provided from Bertie Early College at 2:45 p.m., Bertie High School at 2:55 p.m. and Bertie Middle School at 3:10 p.m. if you would like transportation. All youth must have pre arranged transportation home by 5 p.m.
